Company Dancer
The company dancer needs to be enrolled with the Academy and have an intermediate level of dance ability. The Auditions will be held March 28th for the following season. The dancer must have a good understanding of commitment and is interested in the challenge of competing. The dancer must be willing to work hard and be responsible for their placement within the company. Required classes are scheduled throughout the year. Saturday choreography rehearsals are mandatory. Dancers are judged on their technical performance. The foundation for our competition company is ballet and is a requirement for all company dancers.
Competition and Performance Opportunities
The company competes in regional competitions and all competitors must attend January 2010 convention in NYC. We believe attending these workshops to be an educational and positive experience. The company dancers have also been invited to perform locally for a worthy benefit or cause, Colts Neck Fair in August and the Tree Lighting Ceremony in December. The company gathers for our annual Holiday party as well as our annual Awards Luncheon in which all dancers are awarded.
